One of the major reasons the duo have been making the news is owing to a delay in the film receiving a CBFC release certificate. Kangana Ranaut starrer to get CBFC certification after cuts are made

As per the most recent media reports, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has told the Bombay High Court that it would issue a certificate to Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency only if the producers made certain recommended cuts. For the unversed, the Bombay HC had last week reprimanded the CBFC for not deciding on the issuance of the certificate for the Kangana Ranaut starrer. They directed the CBFC to take its decision by September 25.

Written and directed by Kangana Ranaut, the upcoming biographical political drama stars the actress alongside Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, the film was slated to release in theatres on September 6, 2024.
